Imran Khan has reportedly been ousted from his latest film project, despite already filming a number of scenes.
The 27-year-old has been replaced by actor-turned-producer Saif Ali Khan, reports Daily News and Analysis.
A source for the newspaper revealed: “Imran knows that he is out of Cocktail but he’s not happy with the way it happened. He still doesn’t know who got him out of the film.”
The Break Ke Baad star had earlier met with the director and scriptwriter of the project, and is said to have been given no reason why he was replaced.
“Imran had met up with Saif, director Homi (Adajania) and scriptwriter Imtiaz (Ali) several times, where the script as well as dates were finalised. There was no disagreement on anything and the film soon went on floors,” added the source.
The actor joins Bollywood stars such as Vidya Balan and Genelia D’Souza in being forced out of an Indian film once shooting has commenced.
