Is woman's sexuality evolving in India?

The heroine of Dev.D, the latest cinematic interpretation of Sarat Chandra Chatterjee's 'Devdas', with Abhay Deol as Dev and Mahie Gill as Paro share a cigarette in Dev.D

Paro when unable to find a space for making love with Dev picks up a mattress, cycles off with it to a mustard field and launches herself on Dev. "Kuch karne ko bola tha tumne," Paro announces before flinging herself on the makeshift bed.

Film critic Anupama Chopra says that "Dev.D has taken female sexuality to another level. Not only is Paro not shy about her sexual desires, she initiates the sex".

Whether this unashamedly 'un-coy' act of Paro hold outs the promise of a sexual revolution in India?
