Katrina Kaif’s ‘New York’ is 2009’s First Mega Hit. Kabir Khan’s New York has been hailed as a box office success after taking Rs 35 Crores £4.42m) during its opening three-day weekend. New York, which was shown across 900 screens worldwide, stars John Abraham, Katrina Kaif and Neil Nitin Mukesh in a leading role.


The movie, which was released on June 26, took an estimated £300,000 in the UK, entering the chart at number nine.

Tushar Dhingra of multiplex operator BIG Cinemas said that the film is also performing “very soundly” in its native Indian territory.

This can be termed as first mega hit of Katrina Kaif in which she is not starring opposite Akshay Kumar.
