Well.. Well.... Well..... Apparently, Priyanka is not a fan of Public Display of Affection on and off screen. She refused to lock lips with Shahid in a scene that leads to love making, which eventually leads to her getting knocked up. Now if you won’t kiss, it’s kind of hard to reach the final result, right? But it still took Vishal Bharadwaj two months to convince her to do the scene.
The intimate scene was first shot in Lonavala, but Vishal felt that the result wasn’t very convincing. So, he suggested that they kiss — an idea that did not appeal to Priyanka.
It can’t be that she was repulsed by her co-star, so why did she protest? Our source revealed, “Priyanka said that she was not told about the scene in advance. She categorically told Vishal that she was uncomfortable doing the kissing scene. Vishal did not press the issue and shot the scene without the kiss.”
Vishal was not satisfied, so after a few days, he called the couple to check out the scene. But Shahid was not free to reshoot because he was busy with Ken Ghosh’s Yahoo by then.
“Later, when Priyanka and Shahid saw the scene together with Vishal, Priyanka realised that something was amiss. She understood Vishal’s perspective and agreed to kiss Shahid,” our source added.
Wasn’t she in love with Shahid while shooting for the film? “We don’t know about that,” our source said.
The upshot was that the scene now has them lip-locked, but this time it was shot in Mumbai. Vishal needed five retakes since he wanted to shoot it from different angles. The director refused to comment, but confirmed the story.
