"This trick is flawless," says celebrity makeup artist Jim Crawford of his favorite shadow tip. First, apply a 3-in. piece of tape from the outer corner of your eye to brow before applying a neutral shadow like Clarins Chestnut Freeze as normal with a small brush. Then simply peel off the tape and soften out the hard edge from the tape with your finger. "You now have a perfectly applied color for your eye shape according to the proportions of your bone structure, so it looks like a pro did it."
